Dangerous Devices I

Achievements: Dangerous Devices I, Dangerous Devices II, Dangerous Devices III, Dangerous Devices IV

10.1.7 adds achievements for all crafting professions to craft a certain amount of items. Engineering requires you to craft 2,000 items in total.

I purchased Solid Stone x 4,000 to create Solid Blasting Powder x 2,000. You can also try Dense Stone ([spell=19788]), Coarse Stone (Coarse Blasting Powder) or other stones used in Blasting Powder.

Always check how many are available on the market. When these achievements release, the market will be unstable due to large amounts of resources being bought up. Be cautious purchasing on the AH as it can sometimes autobuy high cost materials.

At current market prices, the cheapest way to earn this achievement is probably by crafting blasting powders, then optionally use the blasting powder to craft dynamite, if you can get the cloth for cheap.

Prices will fluctuate, so these may not always be the cheapest.

i was able to craft 2000 handfuls of serevite bolts for like 2700 gold, plus if you are spec'd into parts you can get rousing elements from the crafts. I got like 13 of each element. not sure how this stacks up to the other options mentioned, but its very cheap
