Completed this achievement on live servers on January 28th. Our first attempt failed but this was due to a mistake on our end, detailed below.

As you leave the sewers and move up the large staircase into the area where Spellblade Aluriel is patting, once you enter the giant courtyard on your left hand side there are several packs of mobs, including an inactive and unattackable Nether Elemental being bound by 2 adds. Before pulling these adds, clear any trash between you and Star Augur, and watch out for Spellblade if you haven't killed her yet.

Once your path is clear, you can pull these 2 mobs, and after a few seconds of them no longer channeling the add it will activate. It only has 2 abilities and will continue to cast them throughout the Star Augur fight. Arcane something is just a blast of damage at the adds threat target, so w/e tank has it. The other thing is a debuff it throws an a random person (seemingly only ranged) which causes them to explode for 500k damage to anyone within 6 yards when it expires, so whoever gets this throughout the fight has to move it out of the group, and will likely need a personal if they get it in conjuncture with something like Icy Ejection or one of the Novas if you're doing this on heroic because you hate yourself.

Once it's in the boss room you could technically 3 tank it, which is what we tried. A few seconds into the pull however we realised it could be rooted, so we elected to just keep it rooted on the edge of the room to avoid it taking cleave damage from the raid throughout the fight. Didn't try any other form of CC, but while rooted it still casts.

As the boss transitions from phase to phase its name changes and it gets progressively more health. In the last phase of her encounter it turns into the add you need to kill and you can safely kill it. It does get a ton of health though, around 220M on Normal with 15 people, so I'd personally recommend lowering it's health before starting the fight. Drop it to 50% and then you only have to do 110M, and so on. After it's dead you can kill the boss.

The mistake my group made was that we had a poor first pull and ended up deciding to wipe rather than try to kill the elemental in P3 with half the raid dead and then risk wiping and not having it respawn. We made the decision to wipe and started throwing battle rezzes out to quicken the runback. However, our resident guild feral druid Removed took the battle rez instantly and taunted the mob before it reset, but after the boss had.So now we had the mob with the correct name listed in the achievement and the boss was not pulled. We elected to get set back up and to not reset the mob. We got it to around 20% health and then pulled the boss. Once we were in combat with her we killed the add. While it did have the correct name, it died in P1, and upon killing the boss we did not receive the achievement.

FrostyShot#1667 if you have any questions. Also recruiting a feral druid.

In Dragonflight 2023, as Ret Pally.

1) clear trash only because they are annoying
2) unequip your weapons and any embellished gear that might cause a DoT on the boss
3) pull Nether elemental, and get to Star Augur, there is no rush, make sure the elemental is in the room
4) start melee'ing (with your barehands) the boss, stop at 70%, watch your elemental change to Adventurous
5) continue melee'ing until 30% or less, watch your elemental change to Well-Traveled
6) kill elemental, kill boss

Easy Solo for Battle for Azeroth Level 120 and Beyond...

1. Normal Difficulty.

2. Clear the trash in the book area of Astromancer's Rise, you don't need that stuff messing around while you're doing the fight.

3. Step outside the Astromancer's Rise and you'll notice an elemental at 38.1, 16.2 being contained by two Acolytes. Take out the trash in front of them.

4. Kill the two Acolytes and pull the Nether Elemental to the boss, Star Augur Etraeus. As a hunter, I used my pet to maintain aggro on the Nether Elemental.

5. Begin fight, slow DPS on the boss, you'll notice in the next phase your Nether Elemental has become an Adventurous Nether Elemental.

6. Make sure you are using single target attacks, you don't need your AoE attacks killing the Nether Elemental.

7. Finally in the last phase of the fight, your Adventurous Nether Elemental should become a Well-Traveled Nether Elemental.

8. Kill the Well-Traveled Nether Elemental.

9. Nuke Boss.

10. ?

11. Profit. Achievement Completed.
