BEFORE ANYONE ELSE WASTES THEIR TIME ON ZEN'ANTHID. Unlike the others you will not just get the quest from the main trainer or from picking.
FIRST: to get rank 1 you have to go to the herbalism trainer in Nazjatar.
THE NEXT RANK is obtained from Carnivorous Lasher which is spawned by Germinating Seed which has a small drop chance from mobs in Nazjatar and from gathering Zin'anthid.
THE FINAL RANK can be obtained from a Zin'anthid Tentacle, which has a small drop chance from gathering Zin'anthid nodes after having Rank 2.
