Major heroic changes:

Tormented - The debuff you get after tanking a crystal can now spread to others upon melee contact.

Countdown - A link is formed between two random non-tank targets. These two people must meet up and be within 4 yards of eachother to remove it or the raid blows up. Also, if one of the persons with countdown has Tormented, the debuff will be reapplied and the range at which you can spread to others has been increased (5-10 yards or so instead of just direct melee contact). This means the person you are linked with for Countdown will inevitable get it as well.

Crystal shard tanks - Take a lot more damage than normal

Enrage timer - 6 minutes as usual, but the boss has had an enormous health pool increase. For 25m guilds it currently is not feasible to be able to beat the fight before enrage timer hits (He has ~217 mil health), which means you will need to survive berserk timer for a short period of time.

The most difficult fight about this fight is torment spreading, you need to be very exact on positioning, especially for 25m guilds. A healer getting tormented is brutal because you will need to have as few healers as possible and bring in more DPS to get as much damage on the boss as possible before enrage.

Having down this hardmode in both 10m and 25m, it's significantly easier in 10m, because you are able to beat the berserk timer with 7 DPS, 2 Heals, 1 Tank, and torment spreading + positioning is much less of a non-issue. Although, having both healers with torment due to bad RNG or countdown is definitely annoying.

We lost a lot of time at this boss, mostly due to big fails and misinformation. We held on tactics and setups that didn't work for far too long...:
2T-2H-2/3S
1T-3H-2S
1T-3H-3S
T being tank, H healer, S soaker.
and variations I don't even (want to) remember, with shadow priests and whatever.

We ended up killing him with ease when finally choosing this setup:

- 1 Tank: feral
- 2 Heal: holy pally, disc priest (i think.)
- 2 shadows who soaked the first two crystals alone, then 3 DDs taking 8-9 stacks; one backup

This tactic worked like charm for us. We held through 'till the end despite having messed things up with damage and killed ihm square after 6:00 minutes (yeah I know, it's slow, we'll do better next time ^^).
I don't know why exactly we didn't try this from beginning; I believe it was because the tank was insta-gibbed in tries before, so that we believed that 2 healers/1 tank was too RNG. The point is, there's no danger if the healers realize that they can throw everything they have at a sp-soaker 'till oom, because they'll be able to reg full once they switch to the tanks. Stacking as many buffs as possible in the beginning is the key to both mana management and avoid insta gibs. The tank is taking a fairly huge amount of damage at the end of the fight however, but if you're fast enough (unlike we were), that's a non-issue. At the beginning, it might be heavy for the healers too if the tank doesn't dodge a few attacks in the row. But that's the biggest RNG issue there, and not really a problem as it happens right at the beginning, not wasting lots of time.
Having 3 DDs soaking the crystals generates enough stacks for the healers when the fight goes on, as well as being very healer-friendly (8 stacks deal a total of 180k damage before reduces). It also solves the problem of a healer having tormented.

this is for 10m. I neither know nor care about 25m :P

Yeah, for 10-men, unless you're overgeared (which is unlikely), the only viable strat is 1 tank 2 heals 7 DPS. On the tank's part it's pure RNG, since it boils down to how many Decimations you dodge or parry.
