This required 1000 contributions. If we you contribute the cheapest way possible, you are only doing the armory for 200 [item=166846] (10x20) and one [item=166970]. That's about 91 Armory constructions, so 18,200 [item=166846]. If you choose to construct something else, this number is going up accordingly.

EDIT: This is no longer valid as of 8.2.5 - the crafting cost of [item=167832] has been increased, and the total should be at 50,000, with multiple items with 50 spare parts per craft became viable for this - skipping the vacuum section.

This requires 1000 tinkering constructions. If you only craft [item=167832], this will cost you 25,000 [item=166846] and 3,000 [item=167562].

While constructing the armory is going to take a while, let's have a look at what it takes to get the estimated 43,200 [item=166846] (and, to be real, you are going to need quite a bit more - you do not only construct the armorys, and you are also going to craft some other items from the tinkering station).

Without any clue on what might be the best way to farm [item=166846], i decided to complete Even More Recycling a bunch of times. I opened up a party in the group finder for spare parts and started grinding away (the weather station went up a bunch of times). On average, i got about 2,500 [item=166846] per hour.
Farming the Parts is about 20 hours alone, and you can add at least an additional 5 for the constructions, and about another one for the minnows.

All in all, it's not as much as i was afraid it was going to be - if you are taking it slow, you will get a bunch of Parts every day for killing the rares and doing some dailies. I've personally farmed [item=166846] for a total of maybe 10 hours, while also grinding for the contents of [item=168266] until i got everything from that box. I'm still missing one Blueprint and have gotten everything else for Mecha-Done while casually grinding out this achievement while waiting for respawns and just doing my dailies every day, hoping the ones i still needed would spawn.

this ach was recently changed to require 1k crafted items and 1k contributions, while previously it required 1k contributions and 100 completed construction projects. Gonna be a lote more tedious now (depending on how much you like grinding spare parts).
