Meaner Pastures

Before the fight begins, take a look around the boss’ arena and you’ll notice 8 small blue flowers spread around the outer edge. These are the harmless blossoms. During the second phase Gnarlroot will use Splintering Charcoal, which will cause players to become Ember-Charred. Normally, you’d use this debuff to burn the roots and end the phase, but first, those with the debuff need to quickly run to these harmless blossoms and they will appear engulfed in shadowflame. This one is super simple and it hardly takes away from the regular mechanics of the fight. You should be able to do this achievement without altering the fight in any way.

Easy Solo for Level 80-100 Worldsoul Saga & beyond...

1. Normal Difficulty.

2. Achievement Tracker enable for criteria completion.

3. Begin fight, dps boss down slightly, but do not kill.

4. Notice the white blossoms on the wall edge of the fight area, eventually you'll get to the phase where you're burning.
4b. Not the earlier huge circle debuff, but the smaller circle where you would otherwise ignite the tree limbs during the next phase.

5. Running along the edge of the fight area, stand on each blossom and you'll see it erupt in flame. Continue to the next 7 Harmless blossoms. Criteria has been met.

6. Complete fight as usual, using your ignite to light up the tree limbs and defeat boss.

8. Profit. Achievement Completed.

There are 8 flowers spread around the room that you can see in this screenshot. Once burned they visibly change to look like this so you'll know if you burned them or not.

To burn them, you need the [spell=421038] debuff. When the boss pushes into the intermission phase this debuff is given to everyone in the raid to burn the roots and exit the phase. Each player gets stacks and all flowers must be burned before you push back to the main phase. On normal you can be pre-positioned on the flowers but on Heroic or higher you have to soak the circles from [spell=426548] to get the debuff. These circles spawn frequently in the quadrants around the room so you have to ensure you leave enough people close to the boss to continue soaking them while others go out to burn the flowers. This is only relevant if you're doing the achievement on Heroic.
