Currently killing prey on higher difficulty doesn't award credit for lower difficulty achievements. Applies to the ones with decor reward and one of each meta achievements.
Achievement
Prey: Nightmare Mode III
Defeat all of the following Prey targets on Nightmare difficulty. Completing this achievement will also grant the Hard and Normal achievements of the same rank.

With the rank 10 of Prey renown unlocked, you can now take the randomness out of the equation and target the ones you're missing. Also it's a bit weird that this only covers Nightmare mode and not normal and hard mode.
The rank 10 "Choose your Prey" quest (Prey: Preferential Killing) is only repeatable once a week per toon at max level, allowing you to target a specific hunt target once a week per toon.
for best use do you random prey spam until the number of targets you are after is equal or below the number of toons you have at max level, then do a victory lap with the quest guaranteed targets.
(or just lock in for the weekly clean up till you have your mounts)Happy Hunting!
