I hacked this around until I got a simplified version that just returns the number of protoform creatures you've created (which is the actual criterion of this series of achievements).

What would be cool is if there were a way to track how many you had created so far. I've made a lot and if I got really close, I might just grind out the last few. Surprised the achievement doesn't have any sort of X/25 count running.
