The mount ([item=169199]) rewarded from the quest Neri gives you (Good Girl) when you get this achievement, also unlocks the Alliance [item=169200] mount. (And, conversely, unlocking the Alliance mount with [npc=151626] unlocks this mount.)
So, you only need to level up one of the two bodyguards (Horde or Alliance) to get the mounts for both factions. (You may still want to level up both for achievements and such.)
Both mounts are restricted to use by their respective factions.

Poen gives Lustrous Glimmershell pet at level 20. You can buy the same pet from the Unshackled Quartermaster for 40 Prismatic Manapearls.
