Got this today, after only using Neri and doing every daily quest that gives follower experience, among other things. There is no special reward as far as I can tell, just the achievement. The follower level DOES max out at 30, for all who are wondering.

Battle-Scarred: Neri Sharpfin
Adventure with Neri Sharpfin until they reach Rank 30.
