Whelp, I'm Lost

Following macro can be helpful in finding the whelps:

/tar Lost whelp
/ping [@target] Attack

During the dragonriding portion of the fight you'll need to send a total of 6 people towards the tree to fly through and collect the 6 Lost Whelps hiding among the branches. Any of the 6 whelps can be collected on either of the dragonriding intermissions but given their locations it's much simpler to do some of the further ones during the second one.

The whelps can be targeted with /tar Lost Whelp and marked with raid markers but this does little to help find them among the tree. There's a faint green beam surrounding them as well but in a predominantly green tree this also doesn't help much unfortunately, though it's nice that Blizzard at least tried to make their locations more evident.

If you fly through one you'll get the [spell=428781] debuff. The debuff appeared to disappear on death so anyone getting a whelp must live for the rest of the fight.

As for their location it's very hard to describe where they are given that you're talking about 6 tiny green whelps hiding in the branches of a massive green tree and working with 3 dimensions and the fact that players don't show on the map when dragonriding between platforms. Instead of trying to give hard-to-follow directions, I'm instead going to include a vod of our entire run timestamped to the start of the kill and in the PoV of one of the whelp rescuers, a clip of our RDruid collecting a whelp (featuring some of the worst dragonriding skills you've ever seen) and our logs so you can watch the replay and see where our players flew. They may not have flown exactly to their whelps since we were still learning where they spawned and who was getting which ones but whelps were collected by the following players during the following intermissions.

Edit 12/21: possiblebit has included a macro to target and ping the whelps. Since pings are much easier to see through the brances, this makes it much easier to find the whelps. I've included it for visibility but all credit to them. Thanks for the macro!

You need to collect exactly 6 of them. We collected 8 and didn't get the achievement.
