The drop rate from Molten Destroyers isn't accurate, as they have a chance to drop nothing at all which goes unrecorded by Wowhead and skews the percentage.

So I went out on a "small" farming tour.
I've put together in one raid my protection warrior, blood protection death knight and a protection paladin.
I made few runs with them, one after another (as You will see, the time between 1st and 2nd run on one char is enough to reset the instance / let the trash respawn).
My warrior went into unsaved Molten Core instance.
My death knight went into Golemagg killed Molten Core instance (boss went down day before).
My paladin went into Golemagg killed Molten Core instance (boss went down day before).
Each run took me from 20min to 30mins (my paladins gear is average ilvl 232). Plus about 10mins afk between every run (just some random afk, nothing planned).
In each run I was killing only giants / destroyers (I'm still not sure about soft reseting a mob if it's not dead) plus some random pulled mobs (fire elementals are not cool on a week geared paladin - 15sec silence).
1st warrior run. 8 destroyers, 14 giants, 4 ore nodes. 1 blood of the mountain (from ore node).
1st death knight run. 9 destroyers, 13 giants. 1 blood of the mountain.
1st paladin run. 9 destroyers, 13 giants. No blood of the mountain.
2nd warrior run. 10 destroyers, 12 giants, 5 ore nodes. No blood of the mountain.
2nd death knight run. 9 destroyers, 13 giants. 2 blood of the mountain.
2nd paladin run. 8 destroyers, 14 giants. No blood of the mountain.
Then I got a bit frustrated with my paladin clear duration (35min including a silly death). Waited about 15-20mins while doing some mining on my warrior for Arcane Crystals and went in with my death knight again.
3rd death knight run. 9 destroyers, 13 giants. 1 blood of the mountain.

4th death knight run. 8 destroyers, 14 giants. No blood of the mountain.
Conclusion:
If you want to farm blood of the mountain, get either a good geared retribution paladin or a blood protection / dps death knight (never played a druid so no clue about this class "timer"). Warriors are cool, but either a good geared protection warrior (slower timer couse of lower dps) or a very good geared fury warrior. You still get some damage on Yourself, in my example Bloodthirst wasnt able to keep the "healing" enough to prevent eating down-time (tho you can always use Enraged Regeneration).
I can confirm, that soft reseting / respawned trash works for the blood of the mountain drop from destroyers. Also, dark iron ore nodes do respawn (but I'm not 100% sure about this, wasnt paying attention for their spawning points - maybe I missed the ones from 2nd run on 1st run on my warrior).
