This has been heavily nerfed as of patch 4.0.1 to no longer add 450 armor but only 120 which is just +20 more than Elixir of Greater Defense (which was +250 armor before the patch) .
I hope that this is a bug and will be fixed.
On a side note ...
Mixology still exists in 4.0.1 but is neither displayed on the Spellbook/General Tab nor under the Professions Tab.
A GM told me that the new Professions dialog only has 2 display slots for the main profession and possible sub professions and since the second slot is reserved for the Specialization, e. g. Transmutation Master, there is simply no place left to display Mixology.
