Firefin Snapper

Excellent for levelling alchemy, by making Fire Oil. A little fishing can save you time gathering herbs, plus, they don't even need vials anymore.

This is my first post so forgive me if the links don't work as intended. STV is still a good place to fish for these and of course with the allied races these low level profession mats are once again useful. I could not find these on the AH on my server so I made a special trip to get some. Starting at the north eastern shore and making one full trip around STV to the most north western shore I fished every single [object=216761] as well as the [object=180901], which yielded [item=21150] and Stranglekelp but no fish. The most lucrative spot for me was around 41.77, 50.70 in the little bay by the swirly waterfall where I found about 6 fishing nodes all tightly grouped together. So to the numbers, one single trip around the area netted me:
x69 Firefin Snapper
x80 Oily Blackmouth
x23 Stranglekelp
x25 [item=21150]

Hopefully this helps someone out there.

My warrior who was doing this also had 800(+60) fishing skill and some of the pools, despite the fishing skill only allowed me one or two casts. While not necessary, a water walking ability of some kind could prove helpful in some areas.

This fish is an excellent alchemy leveling source. Farm this fish for Fire Oil, which goes green in 165, then you can easily do Elixir of Firepower with your mats. The elixir turns green in 185, so you can just level up your alchemy from 130 to 185 with this combo :)
