[b]At long last...the Horde can...FINALLY HAVE CHAIRS![/b]

[ul] [li]Toy is an item that comes from Dragonflight Engineering, the salvaging tree. You have a random chance of finding one when salvaging scrap. [spell=382374 domain=www] [/li] [li]Toy places a chair on the ground that a player character can sit on and use.[/li] [li]The S.E.A.T. will spawn behind the player character placing the toy.[/li] [li]Players aside from the user can see and interact with the chair, and do not need to be in the same party or raid to do so.[/li] [li]The chair has a good range, and will remain in place even when a player is at 40 yards away from it.[/li] [li]1 type of chair model.[/li] [li]Chair lasts 5 mins, has 5 min cooldown.[/li] [/ul]

Your comment got me excited for this being the most overpowered Chair in the game. AFAIK every other "seating" Toy [Cannot be used indoors], but at first glance this Toy seemed to break that trend. Alas, this chair [Cannot be used in Raid] according to the spell-tooltip. My dreams of relaxing between Boss Pulls remain unfulfilled............ For those upset: there is a good reason seat Toys are nerfed and it has nothing to do with "Fun Detetected"- they make it much easier to exploit through walls and otherwise break fight mechanics. Curiously, this Toy might have potential in Mythic+.

This toy comes from the [spell=382374] recipe after investing 40 knowledge points into Scrapper within the Optimized Efficiency specialization tree. It is a rare drop, maybe 5-10% chance per attempt.

This recipe requires 5 [item=198651], which can be obtained from using tinkers on Engineering equipment such as bracers/helm, or by throwing bombs. I had the most success using [item=198300] and throwing [item=198292]. I seem to get them about 50% of the time.

Tinkers and bombs regularly malfunction. Many other engineering specializations have additional perks to further reduce the likelihood of malfunctions, such as Optimized Efficiency > Generalist (35), or Mechanical Mind (35) > Inventions (30). Additionally, you can craft the engineering gear with [item=198259], [item=198253], or [item=198619] to add more protection against malfunctions. I personally used [item=198259] as I couldn't find much info on what a catastrophic failure would be, and wanted to avoid having a longer cooldown, (like what happens with alchemy experimentation).

I found a good way to farm those [item=198651 domain=www] now that it 100% drop from using the invis tinker item, start an LFR first wing of eternal palace use the invis tinker , pull the boss and reset him, press the invis tinker again. It just gonna keep reseting the cd of it

I've invested 20 hours trying to get this toy to no avail. I have the points in scrapper as well as a point for no more catastrophic failures. Outside of the toy, I have gotten 3 items other then trash or crafting mats. Those 3 items are chests that seem to contain random eng items. I did get a legion schematic out of 1 chest. In 20 hours I've managed to rummage approximately 300 times. I will update this as I farm more when I have time and hopefully get a toy.

[b]EDIT:[/b] As of 10.1.5, it appears that the drop rate of the toys has been increased to 10%.

These were from 3 weeks ago. But that does sound pretty unlucky, a streak of 700 rummage through scrap casts without a single toy is like a 1 in 65000 chance (with the numbers I got). Unless you mean that they've nerfed the drop rate recently?

Addy+2via Wowhead (opens the original comment in a new tab)

I did another 740 rummage casts this week, and got 7 toys from it (0.95% chance). So I might have just gotten a bit lucky the first time around. And the actual chance is probably 1%. Which would make your streak of 700 casts a slightly more reasonble 1 in 1136 chance occurrence.
