As of October 1st, 2011, the socket bonus for these leggings reads "+20 spirit", which is pretty odd for a pair of agility pants. I do hope they change it into +20 agility before it goes live.

EDIT: Consequently, the caster counterpart ([item=71999 domain=ptr]) has +20 agility as socket bonus.

The socket bonus has now been corrected to +30 agi, better than the +20 agi that might have been expected. For any leatherworkers out there wondering what they should be trying to make with [item=71998] the best option is undoubtedly [item=71996] as they are BIS before heroics and only use four Essence of Destruction as compared to 8. Of course if you don't have the pattern you would still likely make a good profit on these having the recipe before people have the tier legs.
