Recipe: Transmute Primal Might

Alchemists, who craft this, may have decided to persue the transmute specialty. This yields the slight possibility to create more than one primal, even though it just uses the mats for one. This multiple result is reflected in the group log, and as such is visible to all group members. When dealing with an Alchemist and buying this transmute, it is generally expected that since he has taken extra time and money to pursue this specialization, that the extra yielded primals will belong to him, and that whoever provided the mats and paid for the transmute is only owed what they paid for: one primal might. If you feel otherwise, it is recommended that you discuss the possibility of a transmute yielding multiple primals, and who should get them. It can’t hurt to ask, and you may be able to pay a premium for the transmute in return for the extra primal if it drops.

I was told you get a 16% chance to proc one extra primal and a 3% chance to proc 5? What are the exact details of how much and how often it can proc ?

Has anybody kept track of their Transmute Specialty success? Since specializing, I have transmuted 8 Primal Mights and have never gotten more than one.

Ive been keeping track of my transmute of primal mights, and in the last 31 transmutes. 2 primal might proc - 6 times 3 primal might proc - 3 times 4 primal might proc - none 5 priaml might proc - 1 time

What is the cooldown on this transmute? 48 hours?

From the info of the previos poster: Out of 31 transmutes, he has achieved a benefit of 16 primal mights. That means he basically makes 1 extra primal might every 2 transmutes

Acctually, he got 26 extra Primals (2x6 + 3x3 + 5 = 12 + 9 + 5 = 26). So it's about 1 extra primal in each transmute, almost.

Not really. He did 31 transmutations, of which 10 transmutations (6+3+0+1) yielded total of 26 primals, as you have estimated above. The remaining 21 trasmutations yielded only 1 Primal Might each. That gives 21 primals. That means he received 47 (26+21) primals out of 31 trasmutations, which gives roughly a rate of 1.5 primal per one process (47/31). (That post should be the reply for edeen's post, not Hydlian's - sry about that).

One EXTRA primal might per 2 transmutes means the same thing as 1.5 primal per one transmute

I have transmuted primal mights for some time now and I decided to start counting. This is what I came up with 41 x 1 15 x 2 2 x 3 2 x 5 Blizzard might have changed the chances of getting more than 1 from each transmute in past patches. (Don´t buy the recipe from the ah unless it has already been bought from the npc in lower city).

This gives a 1.45 yield, so the numbers are seeming to be somewhat the same, I will start keeping track of mine as well.

dont get tricked into buying this recipe off the AH for more than you can buy it for from "Skreah" in shat, ive seen the recipe for as much as 30g on the AH and its only 8 from the vendor, beware

some people don't know nor care where the stuff on the auction house comes from. Consider the auction house a place for convenient shopping and the additional cost is a convenience fee.

I just sold one on the AH for 150 G

I'm getting my main character to being able to proc with this stuff. On my realm, I supply my own mats to the alchemist that do it for me. I generally tip 15g for their cool down, and more per primal might if it procs.

I have 367 alchemy ATM and i've gone to talk to the alchemist in shat many times and i have yet to see this in his stuff for sale.. do i have to do a quest or something?
