Edit: Apparently I was incorrect. Apparently Blizz is making this like Wrath where your high-end raid gear will carry you nearly all the way until the new level cap.

Blizz's forcing item stats inflation. Probably to force a stats squish next expantion around...

I killed Norlaxx in Townlong Steppes and he dropped a [item=87220].

And that bag contained this shield as well as [item=90725], both in the same bag. He also dropped some BoP blue item as well at the same time.

This shield is worth more like 400g... than 4,000g....

Unless you're after this item for looks, please be aware that [url=http://www.wowhead.com/item=87486]Skyrider's Shining Shield[/url] is 22 item levels higher, able to be used a level earlier, and is likely to cost much less on the AH

I think this was the intended drop from [url=/npc=51078]Ferdinand[/url], the Yaungol rare in Jade Forest, as it's a 420 Epic, following the theme of that zone's rares. He currently drops, [item=87652] which is Hozen-themed, and also dropped by the Hozen rare in the zone, [url=/npc=50823]Mister Ferocious[/url]

I looted this from a [item=94158] on 3/8/2013. It was one of two things in the bag, along with [item=90720]. i hope this shows up correctly, first time commenting on here, and the live preview isn't helping much.

I looted one as well from the bag of zandalari supplies
