This guy makes me think Call of Duty: Warcraft. I mean honestly, scope, fore grip, bayonet, what else does it need? Hey let's put a chain on it! OH WAIT.....

Drops off of trash in beginning of The Bastion of Light. Confirmed by me wearing it.

Does it drop of Heroic or Non-Heroic?

You can kill the trash with one healer, one tank and 3 CC, just if you take a hunter make sure you set it to master looter ;)

This gun shows Stam + Str + Exp + Mastery stats and has a heroic tag but is not heroic item level. The other heroic version shows Stam + Str + Dodge + Mastery stats and has the appropriate item level. Which are the real stats of the gun or are they actually different?

Yeah this is just incorrectly tagged as heroic. The stats on this and the 372 version are indeed different.

The new [url=http://www.wowhead.com/item=50444]Rowan's Rifle of Silver Bullets[/url] for hunters to be ridiculed over, it being the only BoE ilvl 359 ranged (and inherent dps upgrades per ilvl beats the stats on a ranged slot any day for hunters).

Edit: at the time of the above comment this ranged weapon was a strength ranged, it has since been converted to agility with the removal of the ranged slot.

It should also be known this is literally the only ranged weapon that has useful stats for DPS warriors, and the only ranged weapon with strength (excluding PVP weapons.)

jay, you can take off that "DPS" before warriors. this is the only real gear for ranged slot for tank warriors to carry, as well.

Has a solid 3.00 speed too, meaning it hits just as hard as any proper hunter weapon. Granted, Rowan's swift speed was a boon for BM Hunters in 2pcT10, but those days of a powerful Go For The Throat and 2pcT10 are long gone, so that isn't a benefit anymore.

Any Hunter who wants this gun, be aware that the Vicious Gladiator's Rifle has the same RDPS and can be obtained by winning 5 arena matches per week for 3 weeks. So it's probably better to leave this for your friendly neighborhood Warrior in your raid group.

i had to log in to share this, and to try to change the way we say things... as i was argueing with a nearly full epic geared hunter, who, in the end, as usual, ignored me, but something he said made me jump: "Agility is most important, damage wont raise your DPS" is most important, damage wont raise your dps damage wont raise your dps damage wont raise your damage per damage wont raise damage we need to start saying the most important thing is weapon DPS > agi > haste/crit/hit

As of early jan 2011, this item goes for 20-30K. Its big brother will prob go for the same-when it starts being common in game, in a few months.

I'm not sure if we'd ever see the real heroic version. Heroic/non-heroic only affects bosses, not trash, and this gun is a trash drop.

Actually, better for hunters than the Engineering gun. Which is better for hunters than anything from heroics. That said, it should clearly go to warriors first as a raid drop, but a hunter who AHed it shouldn't be ridiculed for knowing what the most important number on their gear is, and it's especially valuable to dwarf hunters who get not only the superior weapon damage, but 179.28 critical strike rating off it. (yes, the only stat you get, but is far from ignorable - you cannot get that much crit from a ranged weapon, normally, and this puts it FAR above the engineering gun.) Though agilit

Dwarf hunters will be better off farming arenas for a [item=61354]. Better to have a useless secondary stat than a useless primary stat.

Edit 2: Before anymore downrates this, please know that at one point warriors could've use this gun since it used to have stats for them. But since the removal of range for them. The stats have been changed for hunters.

Let's see if they add this model as a usual, hunter weapon in future patches. It looks badass enough, unlike Kickback..

Kinda upset that on my first BoT trash run, this is given to a rogue. The raid leader didn't have the common sense to figure out that I needed it more as a tank than the rogue did.

That hurts me in a very personal way. As the BiS ranged for a warrior tank aside from it's Heroic counterpart no rogue should ever have gotten it. I really hope they made him equip it....

This weapon is not BiS for a warrior tank. Themios the Darkbringer is.

just scored this from the ah for a paltry sum of only $700g! i think the seller may have missed a 0 on the end! this is the only pve ranged wep for warriors an is BiS.so hunters hands off! and be glad there wont be any warriors rolling on your REAL hunter weps!

edit: the price is constantly dropping since the baddest of bads are becoming able to farm BoT trash.

As HikariOblivion told you, best ranged weapon pre-raid for hunters (specially Dwarfs) until 4.1 came out. Now Mandokir's Tribute wins. You lose 33.9 Ranged dps, but gain 101 agi. Plus, it's a cheap option in AH, now that most of guilds farms Bastion. Got mine for 2.5k and waiting for Mandokir to drop.

Recently got the "heroic" tag.. probably a bug.

Logged in this morning to a little suprise, this is now an Agility gun with haste/mastery Bit useless when blues (and even greens) are better, but it was still a nice change!

ah come on Blizzard, make a black/dark gray version of this gun.
