From Halo?..just sayin...

Playing a hybrid paladin with Vengeance but not Crusader Strike, this is an amazing weapon for grinding. The fast swing procs Vengeance more often, and the Wound can also crit and trigger Vengeance. It's almost never down, and I have no +crit from items, and only incidental +agi.

Additionally, Seal of Light and Seal of Wisdom are incredible with a fast weapon, either on their own (Seal+Judge Wisdom, you might as well be drinking during the fight) or judge one and switch to Crusader for better DPS. Downtime is non-existent!

Also, if you PvP, Crusader drops this to a 1.57 swing speed... casters will hate you. :)

This weapon also sounds like a reference to Bungie's Halo game.

surprisingly, not [i]everything[i][/i][/i] blizz puts in the game that has a name similar to something does not mean it is referencing that something

Probably a reference to a The Needler from Halo 1,2,3. It is a gun that shoots pink spikes so seems likely.

This is a spear. That is a crystal shooting alien firearm. It's called The Needler because, well, you needle people with it.

While that was the first thought I had too, not every weapon is a freaking reference.

Equally important, the spear is not purple when equipped. It might be a reference to [url=http://img.tfd.com/wn/5F/635A9-sewing-needle.jpg]a needle[/url] which, like this spear, is long, thin and has a pointy bit at the end. The devs at Blizzard are obviously huge fans of embroidery.

But the spear is also pink...

True not every weapon is a reference but you people act like nothing is a reference, it's a pink weapon called The Needler. Unless you have evidence from Blizzard that this isn't a reference why purge comments for having an opinion? What you said Khorrupt did make me think but then i looked and noticed its pink so it just seemed more likely.

Cataclysm has unfortunatly forgotten about this polearm. It still ranks as one of the most worthless BoE weapons in the game. A 2 handed weapon with a quick speed: Warriors/Paladins will not like it due to lower strike damage. Melee Proc, no stats: Useless for Hunters. A much better alternative is the Ice Barbed Spear.

Its great for Troll Roleplay, Or I think so atleast, Alot of Troll NPC's use the same weapon model!

Blizzard needs to add a comment to every single 2hd weapon in this level range "Not as good as the Ice Barbed Spear" so players will know, in every case to just get that instead and save the comments here.

This dropped [b]twice [/b]off a [url=https://wowhead.com/npc=9097]Scarshield Legionnaire[/url] after the 37th and 159th runs of Lower Blackrock Spire. You might have better luck farming chests but I wish you luck!
