Since the way the Vault works is very poorly explained, I will do my best to clarify it.
Process
- Unlock the vault in your order hall, available at level 105.
- Sent your champions on order hall missions with a chance to get a Vault Ticket.
- Once you get a ticket you get this quest.
- When you deliver the ticket to Marin the quest is completed.
- After the quest is completed a few random items in the vault will get a purple glow.
- Pick the one item you want.
Additional Notes:
Personally I've found that even though Marin says "Only one ticket per week, that's the rules!" it's still possible to get more than one ticket and thus item per week.
I've also found the available items to be random, the first time I only had Thistle Tea and a bag with gold, and the next time I had Thistle Tea, Smoky Boots, Vanishing Powder and a bunch of bombs as options.I hope this clarifies the process for some!

Narinae: [object=252270] ([item=139587]) spawns regardless of this quest or the tickets that get it. Once you have unlocked the vault, you have a chance to find Mysterious Crate lying in front of Marin any time.
This weekly quest is started by an item ([item=140774]) that can be turned into [npc=102594] in the [class=4] Order Hall, the [zone=8012]. It is obtained by training the [order-advancement=441] Tier 2 Order Hall Upgrade.
See below for further information.
Noggenfogger will give you access to the Uncrowned Vault within the Order Hall, which can net you some interesting treasures. If his name is familiar, it's because [npc=102594] is the famous creator of the [item=8529]!There are 2 ways to obtain access to the Uncrowned Vault:
- If you train [order-advancement=441], the Tier 2 Order Hall Upgrade in [zone=8012], you sometimes obtain a [item=140774] on successful completion of an Order Hall mission. This gives you access to the Uncrowned Vault within the [zone=8012], when turned into [npc=102594].
- Note that you can only turn in a [item=140774] once per week!
- [item=139781], obtained via pickpocketing in the Broken Isles, will also give you access to the Uncrowned Vault when turned in to [npc=102594].
- You MUST train [order-advancement=441] Order Hall Upgrade in order to pickpocket these coins!
- At present (whether working as intended or not) you will not get any choice of treasures with [item=139781] unless you have FIRST used a [item=140774] on that same day! After you've turned in your [item=140774], you can use as many coins as you want on that day for more chances at treasure.
NOTE: If you have sent [champion=890] (the champion/follower) on an Order Hall mission, he will not appear (to allow you to turn in your ticket/coin) until the mission has completed!
The Uncrowned Vault contains various interesting treasures! All items are only usable in the Broken Isles.
Each time you access the vault, you will get to choose between a number of different (random) treasures. These will have a purple glow around them in the vault. Choose wisely! You only get to keep ONE object.
- Note that the treasures available rotate daily. As such, if you are looking for something in particular, try again on a subsequent day.
- Accessing the vault again on the same day will give you the same choices of treasures.
Some of the items you can obtain are listed below - many are consumable items, but there is also a Toy:
- [object=252267] - often contains gold.
- [item=141408] - BoE purple cosmetic hood and mask. This can sometimes be looted from the [object=252267].
- [item=139589] (8 charges) - similar to Sap, but with a longer range. Ideal for mobs with stealth detection.
- [item=139588] (4 charges) - grants a random 30-minute buff, from among any of the following:
- [spell=220698] - +10% critical strike chance
- [spell=220700] - +15% haste
- [spell=220711] - +5% agility
- [spell=220714] - +15% critical strike damage
- [spell=220722] - +20% dodge chance
- [spell=220730] - generate 5 energy every 2 seconds
- [item=139592] - grants an additional 15% movement speed while stealthed. Lasts 1 hour.
- [item=139586] (10 charges) - restores 100 energy.
- [item=139585] (10 charges) - acts the same as Vanish, but does not put Vanish on cooldown.
- [item=139584] (5 charges) - puts down an AoE bomb that does damage (similar to Engineering bombs of old).
- [item=139591] - grants 200 (base) Artifact Power to your equipped weapon.
- [item=139587] - Toy that disguises you as a crate.
Subtlety Rogue Hidden Artifact Weapon AppearanceThe Uncrowned Vault is the way to obtain the hidden Subtlety [class=4] Artifact Appearance via [item=139571]. See the spoiler tags below for details!
Spoiler
The steps to obtaining the Venombite weapon appearance for Subtlety Rogues is as follows:
- As outlined above, you will need to gain access to the Uncrowned Vault via one of the two methods.
- Within the Uncrowned Vault, you can find a Satchel of Keys, apparently visible on a pillar within the vault. This contains [item=94222] (reportedly multiple keys).
- Speak to [npc=98100] at the bottom level of the Order Hall to start the [zone=6716] scenario. 1 [item=94222] is required for each attempt of this scenario.
- This is the exact same scenario that was available during Mists of Pandaria.
- Complete the scenario (reaching the end, or until the timer runs out) looting chests and obtaining as many [item=95497]s as possible.
[item=95497]s can be obtained from:
- [object=218772] (Large Treasure Chests)-20% drop rate
- [object=218757] (Small Treasure Chests)-12% drop rate
- Dropped by [npc=70414] who will spawn from treasure chests in the second room. When spawning, they will stun you and attempt to escape before being killed. Pre-emptive CC (e.g. [item=97156], which can be purchased in the initial preparation room of the scenario for [currency=697]) can ensure he doesn’t get too far away. 100% drop rate for [item=95497].
- Dropped by [npc=70400] at the very end of the scenario (if you reach there before time is up). 100% drop rate for [item=95497].
- Rewarded by [npc=70321] at the very end of the scenario. If you reach him before the timer is up and speak to him to end the scenario, you get an extra [item=95497].
- Use the [item=95497]s to open the [object=218949]s at the rest area after completing the scenario. These chests have a chance to contain [item=139571], which unlocks the hidden appearance!
