Battle in Ashran is a PvP quest for level 40. It rewards 1,350 experience and money.
As we do battle all across Draenor, the cowardly Horde try to seize our territory within Ashran.
Our men would be inspired to see you join the battlefield, striking terror into the hearts of the Horde.
You will receive:

What you need to do is collect 100 Artifact fragments.
Despite quest not updating as completed, porting to your Garnison will show a "?" above the quest giver and you will be able to turn in the quest.
An easy way to obtain 100 artifact fragments is by killing the mobs in Stormshield (outside of the Ashran PvP area). For example the crabs on the beach south of the inn - Sand Scavenger - drop one artifact fragment each.
In case you don't want to PvP this is a great way of finishing this quest.
EDIT: Seems that this has been hotfixed as of December 8th. You can no longer get Artifact Fragment from mobs outside of the Ashran PvP zone.
Make sure not to turn in the fragments to the NPCs in Ashran, as you need them to cash in this quest at your garrison.

The enduring legacy of a lost civilization, Apexis crystals contain untold reserves of magical power.
