This new cross-realm stuff Blizz added is great! I'm just doing my quests in Redridge, no big deal. After a few quests, I noticed I have these lowbies following me around.

"Sup," I say. No response. A silent group, huh? Nothing I can't handle. I shoot a glance at my voidwalker, Tanggrave. His dark, forbidding eyes stare back at me. I could have sworn I saw him wink at me. I look back at my first group member, Messner. Cool name, wonder if he thought that up himself.

"Mage, can you make me some water?" No response again. I /sigh and we keep walking. Shortly afterwards he perks up and states, "I need to use the restroom." I /nod and wait.

I couldn't tell if he was back or not, because he never said anything, so I just started walking, he followed. He must have done /follow on me, or something. We pressed on, killing a few orcs and freeing some guy named Jorgensen. It's always nice to see a paladin without some stupid name. Perhaps he'll say something worthwhile, or at least break the ice. As soon as he starts following the mage and I, he complains that he feels weaker this week.

"I know that feel, man. You guys are getting buffed in MoP though." I assumed he knew and we kept questing. A warlock, mage, and a paladin. The paladin wasn't healing though, he was ret specced. It was kind of hard having my voidwalker do all the tanking, so I politely asked if he could change specs, since we already had two dps.

"Hey, Jorg, could you respec or something, I know you don't have dual specs yet, but we'll wait."

He didn't move a muscle, neither did the mage.

"Alright, honestly, someone say something."
Suddenly the mage proclaimed, "I think I'm gonna go to Dalaran after this is over. Help 'em get that city up and floating."
"You know they already did that, right?" I replied. No other words were said, I should have known better.

Skip ahead a bit and I had a whole group together. All of them were lowbies, thankfully, no one leads better than a warlock. Our group comprised of a hunter, mage, paladin, warrior, another warrior, along with Keeshan who was a hunter, and me the warlock. Not bad, I thought to myself, I'm on my way to becoming a raid leader. I had to admit, I had bonded pretty well with these guys, although we had just met. Our quest was Showdown at Stormwatch, we easily took down Tharil'zun and moved on to Gath'Ilzogg. It was then I sensed something wrong. When Gath'Ilzogg hit the dirt my Bravo Company Field Kit buzzed like crazy. I heard the familiar voice of Troteman. His words were clear:
"Come in, <name>. Are you there? If you can hear me: Blackrock has the upper hand. I repeat. Blackrock has the upper hand. GET BRAVO COMPANY OUT OF TH..." As the signal worsened, I heard flapping behind me. Turning around I saw: Black. Dragon.

"AHHHHH!" I yelled. Everyone else was silent. The dragon transformed into Grand Magus Doane. He boldly proclaimed: "The Bravo Company, all present and accounted for... Did you truly believe that the orcs had the presence of mind required to plan an invasion of this magnitude?"
The tension here was incredible. Is this what the fierce warriors who fought the Lich King felt? I didn't doubt it. I shot a quick glance behind me, to my group.
"No matter. You will die now, a paltry offering to Deathwing as our march upon Stormwind begins."
Looking at each of the faces in my group, I noticed all of them expressionless. Turning my attention back towards the dragon / man, he finished his speech.

I quickly said in party chat, "My voidwalker tanks. Every DPS, burn phase, buffs please, get ready."
I waited for exactly five seconds and we began the encounter. Darkblaze was dealing moderate damage to the tank, I realized we still didn't have a healer. "no healer gg guys." I said disgustedly in party chat. The mage occasionally drew aggro, (nerf mages please) but other than that, it was an okay fight. Suddenly, at ~15% Darkblaze casted raid-wide fire damage, killing almost everyone in the group. I was spamming Health Funnel like crazy to keep tank up and okay. I shot a quick glance at the party panel. Mage, dead. Both warriors, dead. Paladin, dead. Thankfully, the hunter and I were okay. I used my healthstone, and prepared for the hardest DPSing in my life. 10% HP. My heart was pounding. 5% HP, every dot I had was ticking, my palms, slick with sweat. 1% HP. Suddenly the Hunter charges Darkblaze and dies from Darkblaze's bite attack. The encounter failed. Darkblaze flew away with the hunter. 5 dead party members. I shot a quick, "lrn2play huntard" in party chat. I sat back in my seat, and checked the time. 3:05 AM.
"This is my last instance for the night, guys." I stated. However, I noticed that casting Mass Resurrection didn't revive anyone. I couldn't get a hold of the hunter, mage, anyone.
"Guys? Listen, sorry about my comment, I didn't mean it. We can try again, just let me repair."
No one said a sound. I felt horrible.
"Guys, I'm sorry. Honestly, we can try this again." Tanggrave glanced at me and I just sat there dumbfounded. I asked Tanggrave for advice. He replied with,
"I don't like this place," in that dull, monotonous voice I was always used to. I figured there wasn't any point in sticking around and began casting my hearth, homebound.

That about sums up my experience in Redridge.
