You will be looking for very small cauldrons sitting on the ground next to the trolls in Jintha'alor. You can find most of them by going to the very top of the settlement inside of the tan rooms.

This quest is actually sensible to couple with the next set of quests, not with the ones you get this (supposing you do all quests you get, return them, take next set of quests etc.) You will get Summit of Fate - the next item gathering quest - after you've turned in the other quests, Dark Vessels does not seem to be a requirement. So you can then collect both Spider Idols and Dark Vessels in the same go. Grabbing the gryphon (on alliance at least) gets you to the spot fast.
The vessels are much smaller than they were before the Shattering, so keep an eye out! There appear to be more on the upper levels than the lower ones, despite the spawn range dictated by the in-game quest tracker.
There also aren't as many of them, or otherwise have quite a long respawn timer now. A player came through doing the quest shortly before I did, and it took me about thirty minutes to find five for my quest.

What to do
Description
The Vilebranch trolls here were always worshippers of the foul god Hakkar, the loa of blood. He was a sick and twisted entity that nearly broke through to our world, but he was defeated long ago. The Vilebranch are still stirring their dark cauldrons, ones they filled with blood years before. They're either holding onto hope for a long-dead spirit, or they're up to something new and just as sinister. Get me those vessels, {name}. We need to examine them with the spiders and see just what's going on here!

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Death to the Vilebranch
We're makin' good progress. Keep pressing on, and don't falter! The Vilebranch berserkers fight like savage animals, whipped into a blood frenzy. Their shadowcasters summon foul spirits from beyond this world! This is why we're getting rid of these depraved creatures, <name>, never forget that.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Ongo'longo's Revenge
I've got a plan to pit troll against troll. The Vilebranch have a big ol' dire troll locked up in a pit with some flimsy-lookin' chains. I've seen those things fight, and there's no way those'll hold if that big brute gets swingin' mad! I want you to find the dire troll and fight him, <name>.
