I love how this NPC can hit himself multiple times with bombs, stopping dead in the air, and NOT fall off his mount. If an NPC does this, it should be an automatic completion for the player.
Here's a strategy that worked for me. Paladin with Crusader Aura engaged. Not sure if that will matter....
I got above him right away. Held down both mouse buttons (which acts as move forward) and pointed down towards him. In this way, I was always "diving", and I could watch him at all times.
I would then hit the space bar to climb whenever I got near him. So I was making vertical up and down zig-zags. I would make sure I started climbing with space bar every time he throws skulls, and when I had a good handle on where the skulls were going, I let off the space bar to dive around them.
I failed several times before trying this strategy, and it worked the first time.
