MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SHADOW'S EDGE BEFORE YOU GET TO THIS QUEST!
It says you need Shadow's Edge to complete the quest, but the guy that gives you Shadow's Edge is the same one that gives the quest, so you are unable to get him to make you a new Shadow's Edge.
If you vendored your Shadow's Edge and did not get a new one before turning in the prior quest (The Splintered Throne), you need to contact customer support as the option to get a new Shadow's Edge is not available from Darian Mograine (hence making it impossible to progress on the questline).
