The different souls have different rewards once empowered with different catalysts, which you'll be able to do after upgrading your conservatory. When first starting out, there won't be a difference between which one you choose.
This quest and the weekly "Replenish the reservoir" both have the same requirements -- 1000 anima collected.
MAKE SURE YOU GET THEM BOTH before starting one or the other. It's basically a two-fer.
(Don't be like me and complete one and then get the other quest and have to collect another 1000 anima...)

Description
While we work away here in the Conservatory, we must not forget to support the rest of the covenant. I am needed here, but you can range far, even though your legs are short. Please, help our covenant recover the anima we need. I can then dedicate my time to preparing another spirit for you to restore.
