TheWoWDBTo complete this quest you must use Faerie Dragon Muisek Vessel to claim Faerie Dragon Muisek from Sprite Darters. In order to do this, kill the creature, right click on the Faerie Dragon Muisek Vessel when targeting the corpse. Ensure you have sufficient bag space when using this item and that you're targeting the correct corpse (you must be targeting it)
At present (4.0.3 13329 - 29/12/2010) The quest currently tells you to kill Faerie Dragons at around 67, 46 which is incorrect these No longer exist. The correct NPC's are Sprite Darters which spawn around the 71, 41 in quite a large area. These are Neutral to both Horde and Alliance.

Try slightly more east around (72, 42). Kill those dragons and play musik for their soul.
It might be easier to do this together with the quest "A new cloak's sheen". At least you would be directed to the right area in the minimap.

Description
{name}, next I must have you capture a creature that in appearance, may look quite fragile, yet its powerful spirit is what we are truly after. The faerie dragons that I speak of have served the night elves as their allies. We must capture one so that the horde may benefit from this strength of spirit as well. Here is the muisek, {name}. Kill 8 sprite darters or sprite dragons, and capture their muisek. They may be found to the west of here.
