TheWoWDBMake sure you have the Knight targeted to kill and not the horse. :)
Loot the Riding Crop, use it on the horse and take it back to Hansel Bauer. Your toolbar will have a skill to return the horse.

Target the Knight on the horse. Kill Knight. (not the horse) Loot Reins. Target Horse (which will be alive, and attacking you) Click Reins. Ride to turn in. People are killing the horse when they shouldn't be. -Law
Bauer is at 75.9, 61.9. 3 knights are conveniently located just down the hill at 74.7, 65.4. As stated, kill the knight, focus on horse, use crop. Ride back to Bauer, focus on him, hit #1. Piece of cake.

Description
Hello. I am Hansel. Pleased to meet you, sir. The high executor came to me and said, 'Hansel, I want you to get us new mounts.' Where does he think dreadsteeds come from? The ground? <whispering> Actually, they do if you can find a horse graveyard. But we don't have one of those, so what we need you to do is go south to New Hearthglen, kill the knights, take their riding crops, and steal their warhorses. Ride the horse back to me here and hand over the reins, if you would.
