Doesn't seem to work today. Me and others click on the Overladen Hauler to mount it, the cast bar appears, the cast bar fills, a sound effect plays, and then nothing happens. Never had a problem prior. Even completed it on an alt just yesterday.

The currency rewarded is not sufficient for the amount of work this quest requires.
Not only do mobs appear out of thin air to jump on and attack the mammoth, which will disappear if a worm farts in Africa, canceling the quest.
But the mammoth can't jump, so you have to walk around even the tiniest of land features.
And all the while, you're also being attacked by any of the dozens of trash mobs that litter the route between you and the quest goal.
If you fly over the area you can see that all the trash mobs in the area are specifically in between the start and end points for this quest.
Oh, and once you fall off the mammoth. Here come the beavers.
There are dozens of them and they have no range. They will chase you all the way to Stormwind.
happened to me to and others. tried abandoning the quest and still doesnt work
