Good luck finishing this quickly if you start just after a player of the opposite faction. You'll never be able to tag the mobs before the other player does and won't get credit for any of them. Best to exit the vehicle and restart the quest at that point.

Just to tag on what everyone's discussed, after you accept the quest and select "let's ride," you are above the area. There is a glitch that may happen. You need to make sure when you're selecting the targets, you need to see that you've "killed" the targets. In the glitch, I was riding above and regardless of what area I selected, it wouldn't indicate any selected targets, so I was flying repeatedly without any progress.

What you need to see, after you select the target area (with the mobs), you should see the amount that you successfully "killed." The amount should display as "1 of 20," for example.

If it's glitching, meaning that you're not seeing any targets that you selected, exit the flight. It should return you back to the quest giver. Just go back, select "let's ride" and then it should work.

After you complete the quest, you'll turn in the quest to Marasmius. Hope this helps. After turn in, you can go back to the main area, by clicking the "To the heart of the forge" mushroom. You can see the mushroom when you use the map. It's basically south-"ish" when you are looking at the mushroom map, if that makes sense.
