For those of you that got confused like I did, the bar that pops up is not the sharks life bar. Your characters life bar turns in to the sharks. The bar that pops up tells you if the shark is about to throw you off.
When you damage the shark, the bar goes down. This is when you hit the Hold On button. This will fill the bar a bit and allow you to hit the shark again.
When the shark dies, you hop off and are given credit.
Cannot complete this as a Druid with the talent Ysera's Gift. It just constantly heals the shark for more damage than your punches can deal.

There is only one way to kill sharks where I come from, with your bare hands! I dumped a good amount of chum in the water just off the dock here, this place should be crawling with the local reef sharks in no time. Hop on the first one you see and take it out!
