Lesson 3: Toasted Fish Jerky

You need 8 turnins to get through this rep level, at 5 fish per turnin. 40 fish. Luckily, carp are *everywhere*.

Nomi is summoned using [item=86425], which is purchased for 50 Ironpaw Tokens from Nam Ironpaw at the Halfhill Market. His apprenticeship level works similar to the friendship levels of the Tiller members and Nat Pagle. It would appear that each level has a different daily quest associated with it.

Lesson 1: Sliced Peaches - Stranger
Lesson 2: Instant Noodles - Pal
Lesson 3: Toasted Fish Jerky - Buddy
Lesson 4: Dried Needle Mushrooms - Friend
Lesson 5: Pounded Rice Cake - Good Friend

Once he is a master chef (Best Friend) himself his daily will most likely become A Token of Appreciation. This will give you an additional Ironpaw Tokens each day.

It should be noted that since the only way to increase his level is the daily it will take 42 days (without any reputation modifiers) for him to reach max skill. If this is the case it will be roughly 3 months till you break even on your initial 50 Ironpaw Tokens investment.

Since I just started this process yesterday I am still working on Lesson One. I will edit/update this when I reach lesson two and so on. Hope this helps, and keep the campfires burning fellow chefs.

It depends on your guild level and race, really - on my draenei it was 8 days, so 40 carp, with a level 25 guild giving the 10% bonus. I think that's what it would be for everyone. When you get close with the Instant Noodles, have at least 5 carp on you, because if you crest over (you have,only 500 to go, and then you go to Buddy level and now have 500 or 600 rep into it) you get the Toasted Fish Jerky lesson immediately.
