Having trouble completing the bonus? It's because you aren't feeding the correct noodles to the correct people.
Scholars (Teal robes): Cheap noodles (Button 1)
Merchants (Blue robes): Mid-grade noodles (Button 2)
Farmhands (Farm attire): Hearty noodles (Button 3)Always feed the impatient people first because the others actually have a pretty long wait timer. Also make sure you prepare noodles ahead of time. For example, if you have a hungry scholar, you know he/she will want an extra bowl. Have that extra bowl ready so you don't get behind. :)
C-C-C-C-Combo Time!
When aiming for the bonus there is one mechanic, which is not immediately obvious or explained to you, that you should be aware of: combos.
- When you seat a customer, you start [spell=148793]. Every customer you seat after the first one adds 200 points to the bonus. The combo is broken and the bonus added to your score when you deliver noodles to a customer.
- When you deliver noodles to a seated customer, you start [spell=148794]. Every delivery after the first one adds 350 points to the bonus. The combo is broken and the bonus added to your score when you seat a customer.
- You can always cook up more noodles, it will not break any combo!
I did the bonus without caring for combos and just seating and serving people as they came in - I barely made the time. Taking advantage of the waiting timers to build these two combos in alternating order will increase the strain to your multitasking-ability but will also increase your chance to hit the bonus. Good luck.
Potential customers leaving unsatisfied does not reduce your score but if you let 5 customers leave you fail the scenario and have to start over again. This is also explained when the scenario starts.
You also receive points whenever a customer leaves satisfied. The way in which these points are calculated is not easily deduced (at least not for me) it could very well be that the amount of time they waited to be seated and to be served influences the amount of points they award you once they leave satisfied.
The NPC also explains that you have to "click" to do anything in the scenario, not "right-click." You have to right-click to do everything, and there's a goofy little CD in between each action that takes a second or two that has no visible queue, so you end up spamming clicks.
