The description states "suitable for display in Dalaran's archaeology shop", but you need to put it on display at Hudson Archeological in Boralus (located @ 68,8). Being from BfA archeology you'd automatically think that it goes somewhere in the new zone, but that's not what the quest says, so it's a bit misleading.
Inside the Boralus building marked Hudson Archaeological, place the Pristine Runebound Tome at the top of the stairs. The staircase is behind Jane Hudson. For me, the stitched red-brown tome is placed floating in mid air by the railing.
