Another classic example of Blizzard humour, this quest has an obvious reference to Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.
Sadly, the ring is not the best ring at this level, but is easy to obtain - it is a 'pick-up' quest from a run through Gnomeregan.
I was expecting the followup quest to be Fellowship of the King

Description
Opening the box produced by the Sparklematic 5200 reveals what you had suspected - a shiny ring! Wearing the ring, you feel magic power surge through you body. Inside the band is a small but nonetheless discernable imprint of the seal of Ironforge. Next to that, three small initials are engraved: "TdK". This may signify either the initials of the previous owner, or perhaps the initials of the ring's crafter. Keep the ring... or return it to this person. Decisions, decisions...
Getting there
Inside the dungeon: Gnomeregan
Built deep within the mountains of Dun Morogh, the wondrous city of Gnomeregan was a testament to the gnomes' intelligence and industry. But when the capital was invaded by troggs, the gnomish high tinker was betrayed by his advisor Sicco Thermaplugg.
