Tale of Tails

In Hallowfall we'll help the Lamplighter in events where players collect [item=206350] and then [spell=412638] on Keyflames (up to 20x, everyone can contribute) to trigger bonus objectives and Elite Rare spawns, or on Lesser Keyflames (3x, player-specific) to spawn NPCs with quests and special vendor purchases (usually things to help with the events) for [faction=2570] reputation, [currency=2815], and more.

When you activate the Lesser [npc=212283] in the Torchlight Mine area, [npc=212419] will appear with a quest (probably Glow in the Dark) and some dialogue about Captain Lancekat. When you read everything about the Captain, Tale of Tails will also be available. Accept both quests to make sure you'll get [item=219198] because you can't complete some of the required steps without its [spell=426360] aura or a similar effect that reveals hidden items like the [item=219148] (vendor purchase from [npc=208186] when you activate his keyflame).

Head to the entrance of the Coldshadow Cave, and activate your torch to reveal [npc=222373] when you come close, grab the lynx kitten, and leave the cave. Outside fly around and [spell=446073] three more Lynx kittens. Then return to Attica and turn in your quest to receive [item=220782].

Top comment confusing. So activate Keyflame at Attica Whiskervale (64, 18), go through the white dialogue from Attica until the quest shows up. That is literally it..

For people like me with a terrible sense of direction even with the map coordinates, here's some landmarks: I found Beef in the main room of the cave just very-very slightly east of the center of it. He hid between the small pile of tiny rocks, the big patch of green clover with the red bush, and the little low pool of water. I found him using Flickering Flame Holder and I think any flame will work (as others said). I had to kind of stand still for him to appear fully. Hope this helps someone!
