TheWoWDBDawnbringer's words after the quest is complete finally confirm what many long suspected: Dreadlords are immortal. When they die, they just respawn later in the nether. Ergo, the next time the Burning Legion launches another invasion, we can count on seeing Balnazzar, Detheroc, and Varinmathras, along with the other dreadlords back in full form unless we find a way to finish them for good.
EDIT: An update from Legion. Demons can only reform in Antorus the Burning Throne on Argus, unless they are killed either in the Twisting Nether or in a place highly saturated with fel energy (like Argus itself).

Description
With the fall of the Scarlet Crusade, their disguised demon leader, Balnazzar, released the possessed body of Grand Crusader Dathrohan and went on a rampage, killing every remaining crusader here. He then used his necromantic power to raise them all as vile undead slaves. Balnazzar refers to his new army as the Risen. We cannot let him grow this army - they are extremely powerful and, unlike Arthas' Scourge, Balnazzar will not hold his forces back. Kill him while we still have a chance, {class}.
