Do this quest while at the same time doing "The Lesson of Dry Fur".
When you get the quest, go under the bridge and stand on the dry land. This will turn you back into a Panda. You will see wooden poles in front of you. When you mouse over them, you will note that the green action arrow appears on the poles close enough for you to jump to.
Click on a pole and you can jump from pole to pole. The poles around the stone where the bells are will throw you up onto the stone. Once on the poles you cannot fall off unless killed.
You will encounter the Tushi monks on the poles. One you tap one - they will throw rocks at you. Down 6 and you are done.
You can do this while going to the Bell for the The Lesson of Dry Fur.
To exit the pole maze, there are poles on the shore next to the bridge. Jump to them and you can walk off the poles.

And Stronger than Reeds
It is expedient to do this at the same time as "Lesson of dry fur", however there is the extra danger of being turned into a toad and attacked by a crane when knocked off. The balancing monks don't have to 'kill' you to knock you off. There are two pools to the east of this one that won't curse you and have cranes try to eat you when you fall off if a lesser challenge is wanted to complete this quest.

What to do
Description
I require peace to perform my meditation. Practice your arts while I meditate on Shu's location. Other monks practice balance and combat upon the balance poles in the surrounding pools. Engage them and defeat them.
Where to go
Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- The Lesson of Dry Fur
Through meditation, I intend to find a route to locating Shu. In the meantime, you would benefit from practice and discipline. Your first task is the task of all trainees entering the pools: cross the balance poles to the west and ring the bell without falling into the pool.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Stronger Than Reeds
Gather me reeds from the nearby pools. Do not question why. Do, and then observe the results.
