This quest has become horrible and the false macro is making it worse. I just completed it with a little graphics trick. Set your graphics to lowest setting, and then switch to ultra. It can help to bog system with loading some browser windows. It took me 3 tries, but it does work. You need to bog down your graphics card a bit so the other players load slowly. Since they are last in priority and features are higher up... the brazier will appear before they will. Some folks are logging, but the same effect can be achieved with a ui reload too.
If you have an incredible gaming machine... try it on an old machine...
Quest
The Challenger's Fires

This quest is not a well designed quest but is not as miserable as everyone is making it out to be.
In the same room as the quest giver are four fires. The first one is the Challenger which is right next to the quest giver. The remaining fire pits light up at the corners of the water pool.
Light the Challenger fire first - then the rest start to sparkle.
The torch was given to you and is in your bag.
Horrible idea for a quest design, especially in a crowded starter zone.
(Edit)
Apparently there's a fake macro going around for clicking this when it's crowded. Spamming it may get your communication rights suspended.

What to do
Description
You're strong of mind and strong of will, but you lack the skills to face me in combat. You must fight with your body, but in truth, it is your character that is being tested. Let us even the playing field. Take this torch, light it in the brazier next to me, and then use it to light the three unlit braziers around the pool.
Where to go
Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.
