He is not impossible if you are melee. Clear the area as you may need the room to move around to let your dots tick and to heal up. It may take a few attempts, but you will recognize his spells as they are casting and you will know which ones to stun or interrupt. Keep your self heals going always in case you get caught in one and keep moving.
[npc=82646] is fairly easy to defeat if you keep moving and don't stand in the fire.
He does damage through melee hits, Acid Breath, and Firestorm. The acid breath is a cone of goo in front of him (don't stand in it) and the firestorm creates pools of burning flame around him (don't stand in them).
You can also interrupt or stun Venombarb when he casts.
