Wisp-Touched Elderhide

Wisp-Touched Elderhide is a quest for level 45. It rewards 1 reward item, 6,150 experience and money.

Description

Dreadleather, with knowledge carefully reverse-engineered from ancient texts, can be worked into elderhide. It is partly a matter of advanced craftsmanship and partly a simple magic of the earth.

With the ancient wisps you caught and the materials you've captured and the research I have done, I have put together a Legendary Tanner's Kit for you. Take it to the heirloom hides of Hrul Sharptooth in Thunder Totem. The wisp will help you use the kit there to create Elderhide.

The Wisp-Touched Elderhide that you receive from completing this quest is the required crafting item in the Legendary armor recipe.
The quest series ends quite abruptly with no explanation of where to go from this point forward for the first timers working on this. The pattern itself is taught by trainer in Dalaran.
While i cant confirm this, its possible the pattern does not become available until after you complete the quest line to get the Wisp-Touched Elderhide. Im fairly certain i had checked the trainer before starting the quest line and the pattern wasnt available. After completing the quest line, the patterns appeared.
