Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 1 reagent for one craft of Dried Mackerel Strips cost 1 gold.
Break-even is 1 gold5 silver per craft, 15 silver4 copper per item at 7 items a craft - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 14 silver, which does not clear it.
The crafted item currently lists for less than its reagents cost: −2 silver before fees, and the Auction House would still take 4 silver90 copper of a sale, so a craft loses 6 silver90 copper at these prices. At current listings, buying the crafted item costs less than making it. That is an estimated -6.9% return on the gold you put into reagents.
Listing depth right now: 696 units across 16 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
