Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 6 reagents for one craft of Fishbrul Special cost 26 gold16 silver. Most of that is Drogbar-Style Salmon - 1 at 15 gold56 silver each, 15 gold56 silver, 59.5% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 27 gold53 silver per craft, 5 gold50 silver per item at 5 items a craft - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 7 gold, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 8 gold84 silver; the Auction House would keep 1 gold75 silver of a sale, leaving 7 gold9 silver. That is an estimated 27.1% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 19.8% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 239 units across 13 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
