Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 6 reagents for one craft of Fishbrul Special cost 13 gold45 silver. Most of that is Drogbar-Style Salmon - 1 at 3 gold95 silver each, 3 gold95 silver, 29.4% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 14 gold15 silver per craft, 2 gold2 silver per item at 7 items a craft - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 7 gold44 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 38 gold63 silver; the Auction House would keep 2 gold60 silver of a sale, leaving 36 gold2 silver. That is an estimated 267.9% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 6.7% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 251 units across 14 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
