Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 3 reagents for one craft of Mighty Troll's Blood Elixir cost 14 gold83 silver. Most of that is Sorrowmoss - 2 at 5 gold80 silver each, 11 gold60 silver, 78.2% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 15 gold61 silver - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 26 gold11 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 11 gold28 silver; the Auction House would keep 1 gold30 silver of a sale, leaving 9 gold97 silver. That is an estimated 67.3% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 11.6% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 603 units across 13 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
