Reinforced Machine Chassis quality ranks
Reinforced Machine Chassis comes in 3 quality ranks, and each rank is its own item on the Auction House. The recipe’s base crafting difficulty is 300.

|---|---|---|---|
| Rank 1 | Reinforced Machine Chassis | 194 gold | 22 listings, 74 units |

The crafting estimate above is the base comparison: rank 1 reagents against the rank 1 result. Your skill and the reagents’ ranks decide which rank a craft actually makes, so a higher rank is never priced against rank 1 reagents here. Right now rank 1 lists above rank 3, so a craft that comes out at a higher rank is worth less at today’s listings, not more.

Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 4 reagents for one craft of Reinforced Machine Chassis cost 179 gold54 silver. Most of that is Greased-Up Gears - 2 at 43 gold55 silver each, 87 gold10 silver, 48.5% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 188 gold98 silver - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 194 gold, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 14 gold46 silver; the Auction House would keep 9 gold70 silver of a sale, leaving 4 gold76 silver. That is an estimated 2.7% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 67.1% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 74 units across 22 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
