Crafting estimate at current listings
No real market: too few listings for this price to mean anything yet.
- Reagent cost (lowest listed)
- 7 gold95 silver
- Crafted item, lowest listed price (each)
- 996 gold56 silver
- Items per craft
- 10
- Listed value of one craft
- 9,965 gold60 silver
- Auction House cut (5%)
- 498 gold28 silver
- Estimated profit at that listed price
- 9,459 gold37 silver
Thin market: the crafted item’s lowest listing comes from very few current listings and sits far out of line with reagent cost. Treat this estimate as unverified until more listings accrue.
- Evidence: 6 current listings holding 193 units of the crafted item in the US region. We see listings, not sales, so how many sell and at what price is unknown.
- Outlier: the crafted item’s lowest listing is 100 times its 30-day median of 10 gold, so this estimate rests on a listing far above its usual level.
- Items per craft: the game’s spell data creates 10 per craft, so the listed value of one craft is that many times the lowest listed price.

Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 2 reagents for one craft of Spiced Rib Roast cost 7 gold95 silver. Most of that is Big Gamy Ribs - 5 at 1 gold14 silver each, 5 gold70 silver, 71.7% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 8 gold36 silver per craft, 83 silver68 copper per item at 10 items a craft - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 996 gold56 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 9,957 gold65 silver; the Auction House would keep 498 gold28 silver of a sale, leaving 9,459 gold37 silver. That is an estimated 118985.8% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 5.0% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 193 units across 6 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
