Where you hear it
ui_legendary_item_toast.ogg was recorded for Legion, when legendary items became random drops from almost any source. The toast shows an orange border, and the sound is noticeably grander and longer than the epic version. Because early Legion legendaries were so rare, players often remember exactly where they were when they first heard it. Later expansions reused the cue for crafted and quest-reward legendaries. As a phone tone it is reserved, by most people who use it, for genuinely good news.
