Where you hear it

iquestcomplete.ogg is the payoff sound of questing, timed to the moment experience, money and a reward item land in your bags. The 'i' prefix marks it as one of the original interface files from the launch client. At over eight seconds it is one of the longer UI cues, with a fanfare that tails off slowly. Levellers who turn in a full log at once hear it stack and overlap, a familiar noise in every quest hub. Classic Era and the current game still share the same file.

TriggerPlays when you click Complete Quest on the reward frame and the turn-in is accepted.

Use it as

Ringtone

Quest Complete runs 8.3 seconds, enough for one full play before most people pick up, and it loops back cleanly.

Notification sound

Over a text, an eight-second fanfare with a long tail is unmistakable, though at 8.3 seconds it is best saved for the alerts that matter.

Discord soundboard

The full Quest Complete clip runs 8.3 seconds, past a 5.2-second soundboard slot, so cut the most recognisable part.

Windows

  1. Windows sound schemes only take WAV files, so convert the MP3 to WAV first (Audacity or any audio converter does it in one export).
  2. Open Settings, System, Sound, More sound settings, then the Sounds tab.
  3. Pick an event such as Notification, click Browse, choose the WAV, then Apply.

OBS alert

  1. Download the MP3 above.
  2. In your alert tool (Streamlabs or StreamElements) set it as the alert sound file.
  3. Or in OBS add a Media Source with the MP3, untick Loop, and fire it with a hotkey.
